Instead of the old fashioned “1 through 10” scoring scale, we’re doing something a little more intriguing. A little more insightful. A little more honest. A little more different.
To my fellow PGA Tour pros that watch, I have to explain this to the idiots of the world who don’t follow our precious sport.
Your score starts out at EVEN PAR. You land under PAR, you’re in good shape. You land in the +, you’re screwed.
The food is graded on 3 factors:
1.) Quality of the food
If the chicken is rubbery or if the steak is rough, that’s going to land you over par right off the bat. How many times have you eaten a chicken sandwich from McDonald’s and immediately regret not getting one from Chick-Fil-A? Quality is everything. Simple as that.
Let’s be honest, appearance is also everything in life. If it’s a mess and I can’t eat it without looking like a 3 year old with a bowl of spaghetti, your score is going to land over par and I’m going to embarrass your food. You don’t want that.
Is the food worth the price. Bang for the buck. This is usually the deciding factor on the score. You jipping me? Are you overpricing your shitty food or is the food great and worth the buck?
Par The Review is coming to Morgantown, Huntington and Fayetteville, West Virginia to score some of the most popular restaurants in the area. Blacksburg, Virginia and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will be tested as well. We’re going all over.
